PTFE Recycling

PTFE Grades
ECO U.S.A is a leading PTFE recycler with the goal of effectively removing PTFE scrap from your production line. Hence, we are always in the market for new sources of scrap from PTFE products including cores, rods, tubes, sheets, and other parts. We categorize and price PTFE scrap by grades and usability:

  • Grade A PTFE Scrap - The ideal type, grade A PTFE scrap is clean and derived from virgin PTFE that is unmodified and without pigments or fillers. Examples of this include obsolete parts, heavy tape punchings, cores, cracked billets and preforms, chucking stubs, rods, tubes, sheet ends, and clean machine turnings without oil contamination.
  • Grade B PTFE Scrap - Grade B PTFE scrap is clean and derived from partially-reprocessed or fully-reprocessed PTFE. Some easily removable contaminates are allowed.
  • Grade C PTFE Scrap - Grade C PTFE includes scrap derived from products or parts made from etched, degraded virgin or repressed PTFE. Any scrap containing hard-to-remove contaminates such as rusty valve seats and gaskets, wire and cable jackets, and heavy oil contaminations from machine turnings or similar are included in this category.

Unusable PTFE Scrap
We aim to recycle all and every ounce of PTFE scrap we collect, however, as it is difficult to remove excessive oils and other deeply embedded contaminants, proper care must be taken during your collection and storage process. Contaminated scrap will greatly reduce usability and cause entire container loads of PTFE scrap to be unusable.
